Civilian Awards
On twenty five Gregorian calendar month 2011, Bangla Desh Swadhinata Sammanona, the Bangla Desh Freedom Honour, was posthumously presented on former Indian prime minister solon.
On twenty eight March 2012, President of {bangladesh|Bangladesh|People's Republic of Bangla Desh|Bangla Desh|East Pakistan|Asian country|Asian nation} Zillur Rahman and also the Prime Minister sheik Hasina presented Bangladesh Liberation War Honour and Friends of Liberation War Honour to seventy five people, six organisations, Hindu deity Bahini and also the individuals of Republic of India at a special ceremony at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre. This enclosed eight heads of states viz. former Nepalese President Ram Baran Yadav, the third King of Bhutan Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, former Soviet presidents Leonid IIyich Brezhnev and Nikolai Viktorovich Podgorny, ex-Soviet prime minister Alexei Nikolaevich Kosygin, former Yugoslav president Marshal solon|Josip Broz|statesman|solon|national leader} Tito, ex-UK prime minister Sir Edward Richard Saint George Heath and former Nepalese prime minister Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala. The organisations embrace the BBC, Akashbani (All Republic of India Radio), International Committee of the NGO, world organization diplomat for Refugees, Oxfam and city University Shahayak Samiti.
The list of foreign friends of Bangla Desh has since been extended to 568 individuals. It includes 257 Indians, eighty eight Americans, forty one Pakistanis, 39 Britons, 9 Russians, eighteen Nepalese, sixteen French and eighteen Japanese.
